The Bachelorette – Seriously Frank

I cannot believe these people who go on The Bachelor/The Bachelorette.  Why would you choose to go on a show like this if you have someone still at home or in your past that you have feelings for?  Wait, I know the answer to that question.  It’s simply about having your cake and eating it too.  And your 15 minutes of fame.

If you’re currently not watching The Bachelorette with Ali, then this post won’t mean much to you, other than pure entertainment or maybe it could be useful if you find yourself in a similar situation.  Hopefully not!  But, if you’re watching and haven’t watched this week yet, turn away because I don’t want to spoil it for you, even though this trailer has pretty much done that.

What can I say about Frank, other than he’s a real ass.  He’s down to one of the last 3 guys, so his odds are pretty good and Ali is really hinting that he might be the one.  So at this point, he decides that he might wants to just check in with the ex-girlfriend to see if there are still feelings there.  And heck, if there aren’t then he still has Ali and she really doesn’t need to know (until she watches the show after the fact).  If his girlfriend had turned him down, he could just come back to Ali and just tell her that he’s sure now.   Or the ex can do what she did and tell Frank that “he completes her”.  REALLY?  Those two deserve each other.

But, first Frank, make sure you take advantage of a free trip to Tahiti to break Ali’s heart face to face.

Ali, you are much better off without this guy, he would have ruined your life.  But, sorry, I still don’t feel sorry for you.

The Bachelorette – Observations 1

I do have one guilty Reality TV pleasure.  The Bachelorette this season.  Not sure why, but once you get into one of these series, it’s hard to miss.  Not many, other than a few, of these relationships ever last, as shown in the insanity of the meeting between Jake and Vienna last night.  So I should learn and get sucked in, but there’s not much on TV right now and it’s true summer brain candy.

I must say that I do love the way that the producers of this show play with us.  They edit the footage so that we believe one thing and then the complete opposite happens in the end.  It will be great to see what the outcome is of this one.  Not that I believe in any way that whatever couple comes out of this, that they will last.  But it is fun to believe in the fairy tale for 2 hours each Monday night.

As I’ve been watching this series with Ali and the boys, I must say that the remaining guys are, in general, pretty good guys.  They are not too petty or jealous.  Except of course for Frank.  What’s with this guy?  I wish that for Ali’s sake there was some kind of footage that she could see of these guys in their hotel suites or the house.  She would so easily be able to see that this guy is the most insecure one of the lot.  He’s always so worried about not getting one on one time with Ali and what the other guys are doing with her.  His facially expressions and comments when the date cards aren’t for him are always priceless.  He acts like a child, even though he’s one of the older ones left.

Geez, buddy, you applied to be on this show.  What did you think would happen?  And when, if ever, that these two might end up together (not likely looking at scenes from coming weeks), he would smother her in days or weeks:  wondering where she is, who she’s with and what they are doing.  He’s too much.

But, again this could be masterful producing and editing to make us believe one thing.  With him I don’t think so.  She should be scared of her feelings for him. That’s just something that I’ve been observing for weeks.

It would be great if the Bachelors or Bachelorettes of these series could really get the inside scoop on those that are pursuing them. But last night had to be about the Jake and Vienna debacle.  Now, I didn’t watch the Jake series.  Didn’t like him with Jillian, so couldn’t watch a whole series.  Did get to see their dirty laundry continue to be aired last night.  If you haven’t seen it and want to feel uncomfortable, here it is.

Not much I can say other than both of them seem like they are in the wrong.  Vienna get a backbone, move on with your life and make sure that you are not depending on a guy that you met on a TV show.  And why get a job in LA, when you hate it there?  Or do you?  There are a few more cities/states in the US that you could possibly find marketing work in.  And Jake, wow, you need to get off your high horse.  It truly does look like you are doing this for exposure.  I’m happy for both Jillian and Ali, for not having to end up with Jake.

Let’s see what will be in store for our Bachelorette next week at the home town dates.  Can’t wait to see.
